Why is our southern border open?

When I see something that doesn't make sense to me, I do a little research and try to find the reason. There must be a reason our current government is allowing so many immigrants to enter our country.

Are they allowing this massive influx of immigrants to:

1. Help our economy? No. We are sending these immigrants all over our country while providing food, lodging, and medical care with tax-payers money at a time when our country is overspending and has massive debt.

2. Improve the lives of current Americans? No. We appear to have a record number of homeless and hungry Americans already that do not get the benefits being given to immigrants.

3. Strengthen our country? No. Our government doesn't know how many foreign spies, criminals, or terrorists have entered our country.

4. Humanitarian effort? No. It is not the duty of the American government to help foreign citizens. Although our government gave a billion dollars to S. American countries to help these immigrants in their country. Also, through charities, Americans are personally donating money, food, and clothing to help these immigrants in their own countries.

5. Help a specific political party? Possibly. With over 2 million additional persons living in the United States, it could sway the distribution of seats in congress.

6. (Stretching here) Be the opposite of a previous president? I hope not. It would be childish and counterproductive to Americas needs.

7. (Stretching here) Setting America up to fail financially? I hope not. America already has a massive national debt, is overspending our tax dollars, and is helping 2 foreign countries fight wars.

8. (stretching here) Position America to be taken over. I hope not. America cannot be taken over externally. If America is to fall, it has to be taken over internally. Russia took over a large portion of Ukraine with less than 500,000 troops. This administration has allowed over 2 million foreign nationals into our country unchecked.

Does anyone know of another reason for allowing a massive influx of immigrants to enter our country unchecked?

I am running for President in 2024. When elected my first priority will be securing our borders and controlling immigration to benefit America.
