What is important to Americans?

A couple days ago, it was reported that a poll identified nine items that Americans think are important. Lets go over these.

The government/poor leadership: With a former president convicted in civil court of sexual abuse, both current and past presidents losing control of classified government documents, and the current president and his son accused of taking money from communist China, it's no wonder we are concerned with our leadership.

Inflation: With 2021 inflation averaging 4.7%, 2022 inflation averaging 8%, and 2023 inflation averaging 5.5%, and our politicians are considering raising the debt ceiling while they print and spend even more of our hard-earned tax dollars, We have every right to be concerned.

Immigration: With more than 2 million illegal immigrants pouring into our country since 2020, our government spending billions of tax dollars shuffling them around the country while giving them food/lodging/medical care/cell phones/tablets, our vice president giving south american countries a billion dollars to try to curb the exodus into America, and our government has no idea how many of those illegal immigrants are drug dealers/human traffickers/spies, Its easy to see why we should be concerned.

Economy in general: With empty shelves in stores, having to import food staples such as baby formula, many big name store closing, almost all our food imported or controlled by foreign countries, gas prices averaging 50% higher, and the federal reserve substantially raising interest rates, our economy is in sad shape with no plan to improve.

Unifying the country: With the democrats pushing their agenda, and the republicans pushing their agenda, there is no one left to fight for the American people.

Race relations/racism: We are all "Americans" with the same rights and opportunities. Enough said!

Poverty/ hunger/homelessness: It is not the federal government's responsibility to provide money, food, or homes for Americans, outside of a large area disaster. Charities or the individual states should provide for the poor/hungry/homeless. For the federal government to do so would be favoring some Americans over others.

Crime/violence: With several large cities defunding the police, and the court system/district attorneys allowing crime to go unpunished, its no wonder that crime is running rampant.

Ethical/moral/family decline: Most Politicians/big business/TV shows imply that money is the only goal in life, and if the leaders of this great country are incompetent, corrupt, or demonstrate a lack of morals, we can we expect others to follow suit.

None of the above-mentioned items is unsurmountable. In fact, they can be corrected easily. We need to stop voting for politicians that do not have the American peoples best interest at heart.
