Last year, some Democratic lawmakers were expelled from the Tennessee State Assembly. They were expelled for basically hijacking the floor of the State Assembly for about an hour, Chanting about gun control and refusing to follow the rules of the Tennesse State Assembly.

Just as in real life, if you break the rules you pay the price.

Why would these Tennessee Lawmakers refuse to follow the State Assembly rules:

Did they do it to advance their gun control laws in Tennessee? If so, they failed miserably. The news reported on their expulsion and not gun control. None of their suggested laws were implemented.

Did they do it to promote their constituents wants and needs? Again, they failed miserably. Their constituents were without representation while the Lawmakers were expelled.

Did they do it because they wanted laws passed that the majority of State Lawmakers didn't want. (Tennesse is about 80% Republican and 20% Democrat). Well folks, that's how a democracy works. Yelling and causing a disturbance does not make you a majority, but it does make you look like a spoiled child.

Did they do it for national attention? If they did it for national attention then they were successful, but that did not do anything for their constituents.

Our Lawmakers/Government Officials need to follow rules and laws just like the rest of America's citizens.
