How inflation is affecting you now, and in the future

Inflation effects all Americans. Lets say you brought home $100,000 every year from 2020 through 2024. In 2020, you bought groceries, went on vacations, went to the movies, etc. Now in 2024, thanks to inflation. you have to cut back on your spending because that $100,000 will only buy 80% of what it did in 2020. Almost everything (Groceries, building supplies, vehicles, home and auto insurance, clothes, gasoline, movie tickets, etc) have increased in prices now to anywhere between 25% to 50%. While the pandemic itself would definitely contribute to inflation, our politician's response to the pandemic and other fiscally foolish actions have increased inflation to these high levels. These foolish actions are continuing to impact us and will for months, if not years. (Fiscally foolish: Spending more of our tax dollars than they bring in, forgiving billions of tax dollars on loans, spending $150,000,000,000 a year on immigrants, etc) For example:

Earlier this year, the auto industry unions demanded and are getting big pay raises. The auto industry shareholders and management will not accept reduce pay to fund these pay raises. The price of cars and trucks did go up to cover the increased cost. Hence us, the American citizen, are paying more for our vehicles.

The fast-food industry in some states was required to increase pay for its workers. The fast-food industry workers got pay raises. The fast-food company shareholders and management did not accept reduce pay to fund these pay raises. The price of fast-food did go up to cover the increased cost. Hence us, the American citizen, are paying more for fast-food.

Now the longshoremen are demanding increased pay.  The shipping companies and shareholders will not accept reduce pay to fund these pay raises. The price of everything that is shipped from overseas will go up to cover the increased cost. Hence us, the American citizen, will pay more for everything shipped from overseas.

This cycle will not stop for some time. Our politicians started this mess, its up to us to require the politicians to fix this, or to elect new/responsive politicians. This is another reason I am running for President in 2024.
