Biden is clutching at straws

President Biden seems to be saying that our democracy is at stake with these midterm elections occurring in about a week. Really? How could our democracy be threatened just by electing non-democrats to public office? Isn't electing Americans to public office a pillar of our democracy? If politicians want to promote their political party, they typically do one of two things: 1. they proudly point at what they have accomplished, or 2. they tell you what terrible things will happen if the other party is elected. Why can't he just point to all the good that has been accomplished in the last two years as a reason to elect democrats. Democrats have basically had control of both houses of congress and the presidency for the last two years. Have they done a good job for Americans? Gas prices have almost doubled, illegal aliens are swarming across our southern border, several major US cities are in ruins, schools are teaching feelings vs facts, Russia, China, and North Korea are up to no good, our national debt is at an all-time high and going higher, and runaway inflation is hurting American families. I would have to say that having a democrat controlled congress and president has not been a good thing for the average American. The only people that seem to be doing well are our elected officials. President Biden and his son are making millions of dollars, Pelosi and her husband are making millions of dollars, and many other elected officials are getting richer (just look at their net worth since taking office, on google).
